British Yacht Wins Handicap Honors in Sydney to Hobart Race

According to early morning news reports, the British-registered 55-footer Aera, skippered by Jez Fanstone, has won overall handicap honors in the 2004 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
With 50 boats still at sea and eight finished, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia will not officially announce the overall handicap winner until tomorrow morning.
