Whales Swim into Sydney Harbour
Monday June 20, 2005
Two humpback whales yesterday swam into Sydney Harbour, frolicking in the waters of Manly Cove unconcerned with the many onlookers on shore and in boats. It is the whale migration season when these denizens of the deep travel north from the Antarctic for the warmer waters off northern Australia. They return south sometime in the southern spring.
