Margaret River Holds
Four-Day Wine Festival

Thursday November 17, 2005
It's four days of wine, food and music at Margaret River in Western Australia as the Margaret River Wine Festival gets under way. Some 75 venues in the Margaret River wine region hold music concerts and music sessions while offering great West Australian cuisine and well-known local wines in a setting of vineyards, forests and beaches.

The Margaret River Wine Festival runs from today, November 17, through Friday and the weekend to November 20. You can join a festival tour through the region's vineyards and wineries or sample the entire region at one venue for one day at the Saturday "Fusion" offering at Margaret River where 55 wineries, boutique breweries, live music and regional produce provide a broad spectrum of the region's offerings.

Whether it's festival time or not in the Margaret River region, a visit to the Wine Tourism Showroom at the Margaret River Visitor Centre should provide pointers to what to see, drink and try in this wine-producing region of Western Australia just about a three-hour drive from the capital, Perth.

And if you didn't know it, Margaret River is a great place for surfing.
