Country Singer Pays Tribute to
Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin

At the public memorial service for Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin on the morning of September 20, one of Australia's foremost folk and country singers and Irwin's favorite, John Williamson, sings "True Blue" for the true blue Aussie that was Australia's much-loved wildlife warrior, Steve Irwin.
Williamson said he was "deeply honored to be asked to perform at Steve Irwin's memorial service at Australia Zoo. Steve's heart and soul was at the zoo and it is a most appropriate place to celebrate his life. Steve was a proud Aussie who spruiked the wonders of our ancient land with infectious enthusiasm, who stood his ground on every occasion to protect not only the fauna of the world but his Australianness."
The memorial service at Australia Zoo on Queensland's Sunshine Coast was broadcast live in Australia and many other parts of the globe.
Williamson's "True Blue" is part of his True Blue album containing more than 40 tracks of true blue Aussie songs.

I got the opportunity to watch mr. williamson sing true blue at the memorial. It was fantastic and urged me to purchase the song true blue as it really struck a chord with me, listening to it while ole steves truck drove off for the last time into the sunset. what an inspiration that true blue steve was in so many facets of life. He will be missed for so many things! We love ya Mate!!
