Queensland's Gold Coast:
Your Golden Playground

Go for golden beaches under a golden sun. Go for gold at a glittering casino. If this is your idea of a dream holiday -- as it is for many Australians and overseas visitors — you won’t go far wrong by going to the Queensland Gold Coast, just north of the northern New South Wales border.

One of Australia's most popular holiday destinations, the Gold Coast also has the highest concentration of theme parks.

Just north of the Gold Coast lies Brisbane, the state capital. North of Brisbane, discover Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.

If you feel like driving through country Queensland, head west across the Dividing Range to the Darling Downs or cross the border to Tweed Valley.
