Discover the Walls of China
in Outback New South Wales
Friday April 27, 2007
In the Pleistocene Epoch during the last Ice Age, the system of lakes in southwestern New South Wales turned in time into dry lake beds where winds and erosion have sculpted dramatic land formations such as the Walls of China. These awe-inspiring landscapes can be found at Mungo National Park which is part of the Willandra Lakes Region, one of Australia's World Heritage sites.
