Fiesta Time at Darling Harbour
Thursday September 20, 2007
The Labor Day long weekend is coming and Sydney's Darling Harbour is having its Fiesta.
Darling Harbour Fiesta has the reputation of being Australia's largest Latin American festival featuring music and dance with that distinctive hot Latin beat, including Mexican mariachis, Latin American and Afro-Cuban bands, flamenco dancers, capoeiristas, and Brazilian carnivale girls.
Adding spice to the Fiesta flavour will be a variety of South American-inspired food, arts and crafts stalls in Tumbalong Park.
Swaying its way from September 28 to October 1, Fiesta will feature more than 70 free performances by top bands and dancers. There's also the opportunity to learn to salsa, tango and samba with the experts. Photo: Salsa at Darling Harbour, courtesy Darling Harbour Foreshore Authority
