The Bungle Bungles Are a World Heritage Site

We call them the Bungle Bungles, not that there's any bungling involved. At least, not that I know of. They say the name is a corruption of another phrase altogether: bundle bundle, a grass common to the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

In any case, this is the place where you find these groups of hills alternately striped in orange and black.

Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range in Western Australia are a World Heritage site, and a part of the striking landscape of this amazing Australia Other World Heritage Australian sites...
