Is Spring the Best Time to Visit Sydney?

Tuesday August 26, 2008
Spring is in the air. For many, the best time to visit Sydney is in the Australian spring (September 1-November 30) when the weather's great, it's a time of regrowth and, yes, romance is in the air.

Sail the harbour, take daytrips, go bushwalking, laze away life's cares on the city's white-sand beaches when the weather gets warmer.

Right from Wattle Day (September 1), it's not only Australia's national flower, the golden wattle, that colors the fields and gardens but a whole fresh variety of spring flowers. Check out the flower festivals, too. Photo: Springtime at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney © Australian Tourist Commission
