Nanta Rocks Darling Harbour

Tuesday September 9, 2008
If you're in Sydney on the weekend of September 20, walk over to Darling Harbour for some Korean festival fun.

Described as Korea’s top performance theatre group, Nanta again performs this year on an open air stage over the weekend of the festival.

Nanta has had success on Broadway in New York for one and a half years, at the Edinburgh Festival and on the London stage.

Nanta performs free at the festival with dramatic comedy routines, traditional drumming, and much audience interaction.

The two-day festival highlights Korean arts and cultural performances, Korean cuisine, martial arts demonstrations and Korean traditional dance performances.

And — yes — festival visitors can join in a traditional Korean group dance which invites families, lovers and friends to join in for good luck and to share their happiness. Photo: Nanta, courtesy Korea Tourism Organisation and Korean Society of Sydney
