Sydney Festival - Free Events Launch Three-Week Celebrations

Free events at various city venues launch this year's Sydney Festival which runs for three weeks until January 31.

A highlight of tonight's Festival First Night is the performance by the legendary Grace Jones at the Domain.

First Night festival events, including music and dance performances, take place on 10 open-air stages not only in the Domain but also at Hyde Park and other city venues.

Sydney Festival is an annual celebration of the arts and includes theatre, music, dance and cinema, as well as family and free outdoor events.
