Australian Open - World's No 1 Women's Tennis Player Loses in Straight Sets

World No 1 and Australian Open No 1 seed Jelena Jankovic (Serbia) was eliminated from the Australian Open on the seventh day of the tennis tournament being played in Melbourne.

She lost to French player and 2007 Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli, 1-6. 4-6, in the fourth round. Bartoli was seeded 16th.
