Nadal Wins Australian Open Men's Singles Title

World No 1 in men's tennis Rafael Nadal (Spain) won the 2009 Australian Open men's singles title by defeating No 2 seed Roger Federer (Switzerland) in five sets, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, on the night of February 1, local time.
