Daylight Saving Time Ends in Australia and New Zealand

Saturday April 4, 2009
At 3am on Sunday, April 5, local time, daylight saving time ended in New Zealand and the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria in Australia.

Clocks were turned back one hour so that 3am daylight saving time became 2am standard time when the switchover took place.

Western Australia reverted to standard time last week, on March 29.

Queensland and the Northern Territory do not observe daylight saving time.
