Sixteen women and sixteen men compete in Round 4 of the tennis singles matches in this year's Australian Open, which means 112 each in men's and singles tennis have been eliminated as at the end of Round 3 on January 19, Australian eastern daylight saving time.
No Australian players are competing in Round 4, which begins today, January 20, local time, with the losses suffered by women's No 9 seed Samantha Stosur in Round 2 and men's unseeded player Bernard Tomic in Round 3.
