Did You Know Melbourne Trams Operate in Seattle?Melbourne trams of the 1920s variety give a classy retro look to Seattle's George Benson Waterfront Streetcar Line (Metro Route 99) which provides trolley access to the International District, Pioneer Square, various Seattle waterfront activities along Elliott Bay, and Myrtle Edwards Park. Service is provided on meticulously maintained Australian streetcars brought from Melbourne beginning in 1982.
