Coral Reef Fishing Ban ProposedA proposal to ban fishing in at least 30 per cent of the world's coral reefs was reported in the Northern Territory News today. This was deemed necessary for the reefs to survive. Planning is said to be under way in Australia to expand the "no-take areas" in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park from 5 per cent to more than 30 per cent.12:00 AM # |
