Royal Melbourne Show Opens

More than half a million people are expected at the Royal Melbourne Show which opens today, 80 per cent of whom will be visiting the the baby animal nursery, according to today's Melbourne newspaper The Age. The Royal Melbourne Show, this year with more than 38,000 exhibits, runs until September 28.

Brisbane-Christchurch Route for Pacific Blue

Low-cost Pacific Blue trans-Tasman flights between Brisbane, Australia, and Christchurch, New Zealand, are set to start in February 2004. Other Pacific routes are being considered. Pacific Blue, a subsidiary of Virgin Blue, will be based in Christchurch.
