Melbourne's Crown Towers Named Australia's Best Hotel

You won't miss the Melbourne landmark that is the Crown Towers hotel on the banks of the city's Yarra River. Now it has the added distinction of being chosen Australia's best hotel by tourism magazine Australian Traveller in its list of Australia's top 101 hotels based on more than 74,000 consumer votes.
Crown Towers is a 482-room, five-star high-rise, with views to the city and Port Phillip Bay. It is part of Melbourne's Crown Entertainment complex with gaming halls, cinemas, restaurants, bars, and a variety of shops.
Named Australia's second best hotel was the European Renaissance-inspired Palazzo Versace, the Gold Coast hotel with a heated, man-made lagoon. Third was the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort, which also took out top place in the Best Resort category.
