Luna Park

Sydney

Luna Park, Sydney's Coney Island-type amusement park on Sydney Harbour, opened in the 1930s but closed in the mid-1960s after a fire razed one of its buildings. After a few false starts, Luna Park finally reopened in April 2004 and has been open daily since then. This entertainment venue, with ferris wheel, merry-go-round and other carnival rides, is a favorite of the young and the young at heart. It's no more than a five-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay.
