Although sometimes mistakenly called a koala bear, the koala is a totally different type of animal altogether, defined by that Australian authority, the Macquarie Dictionary, as a "tailless, grey, furry, arboreal, diprotodont marsupial, Phascolarctos cinereus, of Australia." So there!
