TRAVEL TIPS | |
- Best deal was a man's white dress shirt bought in Woolies (Woolworth's) for about US$5. Wore it all day snorkeling and was one of the few not "baked" by the sun.
- Cheap plastic ponchos and tie-on plastic rain hats with brims were easier to carry and worked better than umbrellas on windy, rainy days.
- Bug veils were great and easy to carry.
- Even in you aren't backpacking, wearing a lightweight backpack makes traveling easy and convenient.
- A lightweight, parachute jogging suit came in really handy. On cold nights, it worked as a lining under slacks and sweater and was really toasty.
- Laundromats were reasonable and convenient. You can afford to travel light.
