Australia Shares America's Grief

Flags Fly at Half Mast

Flag flies at half mast on Top of Sydney Town Hall September 2001

Sydney Town Hall flies the Australian flag at half mast as the whole of Australia shares in the grief and anger of the American people at the attack on New York's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, causing the total destruction of this US landmark and the death of thousands of innocent lives. It is learned later that not only the World Trade Centre was attacked.
