It may not look like much but this is Lennox Bridge, the oldest bridge on the Australian mainland. Designed and supervised by Scottish stonemason and Superintendent of Bridges David Lennox, the bridge was started in 1832 and completed the next year with the work of 20 selected convicts including "tolerable stone cutters." Lennox Bridge is located at Mitchells Pass about 1 kilometre off the Great Western Highway at Blaxland in the Blue Mountains.
