The new Scenic Skyway cable car, designed to carry 84 people, started operating in the Blue Mountains in December 2004. The new cable car was originally called Sceniscender but has now reverted to the more familiar term of Scenic Skyway. The new cable car travels 720 metres above ancient ravines and dazzling waterfalls and boasts a world-first, state-of-the-art Electro-Sceni Glass Floor. At the flip of a switch breathtaking views are revealed through the cabin floor directly below. The Three Sisters can be seen in the background of our picture.
