Cottesloe Beach

Just outside Perth on the way to Fremantle lies Cottesloe Beach, a favorite seaside destination for those warm and lazy days. Much attention has been focused on Cottesloe Beach as the place where a wake was held for Australian actor Heath Ledger on February 9, 2008. The actor died in New York on January 22.
To get to Cottesloe Beach from Perth city centre, head towards Kings Park and Botanic Garden and get on to Mounts Bay Rd south of Kings Park and into Stirling Highway heading west. Turn right at Eric St, then left at Marine Parade.
