You will find kangaroos in most places in Australia. Here, three kangaroos at Warrumbungle National Park close to the town of Coonabarabran in central New South Wales turn to look at you. Kangaroos are the largest members of the family Macropodidae, which are herbivorous mammals found on the continent. They have powerful hind legs, developed for leaping, and a sturdy tail for support and balance.
