Women's Singles
- Serena Williams (1), USA, defeated Na Li (16), China, 7-6. 7-6, and advanced to the women's singles final.
- Justine Henin (unseeded), Belgium, defeated Jie Zheng (unseeded), China, 6-1, 6-0, and advanced to the women's singles final.
