It normally takes place in January in Melbourne with matches held at Melbourne Park.
The 2013 Australian Open is currently taking place until January 27.

The four Grand Slam tournaments are the Australian Open, French Open at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open.
Only one, Australian tennis player Rod Laver, has won the Grand Slam — winning all four tournaments in one calendar year — twice.
