- Well located and close to the park, town centre and visitor centre.
- Fine restaurant, Tides, on the ground floor.
- Waterfront walk just outside the door.
- Apartments are not serviced daily.
- Access to carpark from apartments entails going down one lift (elevator) and going up another.
- You need to use a swipe card to open doors and use lifts even when already inside the building.
- Lakeside and waterfront rooms have water views.
- Rooms have basic facilities including cooktop, refrigerator, hair dryer.
- An outdoor heated pool and heated spa are available for guests to use.
- A small gym is also available to guests.
When I stayed at the Citigate Sebel Waterfront in fully paid accommodation, they tried to charge extra for using the hotel carpark when the hotel website at the time said it was free for guests to use.
The best feature of the hotel is its location in that you can stroll by the water from your doorstep and there are restaurants and shops close by. The visitor centre is just across the park where pelicans gather and get fed at 3.30pm daily.
Rooms are not serviced daily, unless you request it, and then there's an extra charge for unscheduled service.
The rooms are quiet, airy, air-conditioned, comfortable, but fairly standard hotel accommodation.
- The Citigate Sebel Waterfront Resort was reviewed in the course of a fully-paid stay at the hotel in March 2006. Changes may have occurred since then.
