There are things to watch out for, and things to avoid, during a visit to Sydney. Here's your Sydney travel guide.
It's important to extract the most enjoyment from a hassle-free visit.
Are you ready for Sydney travel?
CONFIRM your Sydney flights are booked and you have your tickets in hand.
CONFIRM the validity of your passport.
CONFIRM you have the necessary authority to enter Australia.
CONFIRM your Sydney accommodation arrangements. Or if you wish to take potluck, there's a visitor's help desk at Sydney airport to help you with your choice of accommodation.
CHECK that credit cards you expect to use are current and have not expired. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major cards are acceptable in Australia with many of them able to be used at Australian ATMs. In case of loss of credit cards, know what number to call to report their loss.
CONSIDER the location of your Sydney hotel -- check with a Sydney map -- to suit your travel plans.
Check timetables
It may be best to be on a train line for quick access to the Sydney rail network, but anywhere in the Sydney suburban areas you would find bus connections if needed. Note that buses and trains don't run all night, so check with timetables as soon as you can.
Or you could rent a car.
