  • A new theme park adjacent to Dreamworld — WhiteWater World — opened to the public in December 2006. A two-day World Pass lets you hop between Dreamworld and WhiteWater World as often as you like, over two days. Separate tickets for Dreamworld and WhiteWater World are available as well.

  • In September 2005, Dreamworld became the official Australian home of the Wiggles theme park attraction, Wiggles World, a place for Wiggles fans to play, dance and sing with their favorite wiggly friends for an interactive adventure involving the whole family.

Children's song-and-dance entertainers The Wiggles have achieved exceptional success on television, in shows and concerts, and on CD and DVD. The Australian group's renown has now reached many parts of the globe, and the Australian theme park could be just the first of many.

Thrill rides, close encounters with wildlife, cartoon character attractions and IMAX movies are among the many attractions of Dreamworld, one of the Gold Coast's more popular theme parks.

Fastest, tallest rides

Among the fastest, tallest thrill rides are The Claw, one of Dreamworld's newer attractions, where you're propelled nine storeys high, swinging up to 64 kilometres per hour while spinning 360 degrees, and the Giant Drop where you freefall from 38 storeys high.

Many worlds in one

Dreamworld's 30 hectares include a tiger island, Australian wildlife, riverboat cruises, water slides, Nickelodeon characters, an IMAX theatre and, of course, the wide variety of rides.

Big Brother

The Australia series of Big Brother used to be filmed, produced and distributed direct from Dreamworld Studios.

The Big Brother reality TV series was discontinued in mid-2008.
