Australia's favorite children's song-and-dance entertainers, The Wiggles, have found a theme park all to themselves at Dreamworld on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Opened in September 2005, Wiggles World had received the big thumbs up from the four Wiggles, in their trademark shirt colors, after they previewed the theme park and its attractions.
Wiggles World provides a place for Wiggles fans to play, dance and sing with their wiggly friends. It's an interactive adventure not only for children but for whole families as well.
Wiggles World has wiggly rides and attractions such as the Big Red Car, Wigglehouse, SS Feathersword with Captain Feathersword, Farmyard Friends and the Fun Spot.
The Wiggles — Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page and Jeff Fatt — first hit the Australian children's entertainment scene in 1991 and have now achieved renown beyond Australian shores. They have joined street parades in New York and performed on television, stage, and variety shows in a number of countries around the world.
The Wiggles have won three ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) awards and three APRA (Australian Performing Rights Association) songwriter awards and have sold in excess of 17 million DVDs and videos, and five million CDs and cassettes worldwide.
Their distinctive clothing colors — blue for Anthony, red for Murray, yellow for Greg and purplel for Jeff — are quickly and easily recognised by children.
The Wiggles appear at Wiggles World when their heavy touring schedule permits.
A ticket to Dreamworld includes the theme park's many other attractions and opens the doors to Wiggles World as well.
Dreamworld opening hours are 10am to 5pm for 363 days of the year (with extended hours during school holidays). It is closed on Christmas Day (December 25, all day) and Anzac Day (April 25, morning).
