It's at Cockle Bay Wharf that most visiting small craft arrive and depart by water. Additionally, for quick drop-offs, there are the Tumbalong Steps at the southern end of Cockle Bay and the Harbourside Steps in the west somewhere between the Convention Centre and Harbourside.
Ferry stops are near the Australian National Maritime Museum in the west and the Sydney Aquarium wharf adjacent to Australian Wildlife World in the east.
Cockle Bay Wharf features a number of entertainment venues, coffee shops and restaurants.
