The Richmond Arms Hotel was established in 1827 and was known as the Lennox Inn or Lennox Arms. The original building was destroyed by fire leaving only the stables, which have been converted into colonial accommodation as part of the later Richmond Arms.

The present Georgian-style building is said to date back to the late 1880s when it was then known as the Commercial Hotel.

The Richmond Arms is at 42 Bridge St. It provides accommodation, with facilities including a dining room and family bar.
