Sydney Theatres

Find Your Way to the Theatre

By , About.com Guide

Sydney theatres and other performing arts and concert venues are to be found throughout central Sydney and in the Sydney suburbs. Not only are they in different areas but they offer a wide variety of theatre offerings, from the works of Sophocles and Euripides to George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Miller to Australia's own writers such as the Nobel laureate Patrick White and the prolific David Williamson, and many of today's established and emerging playwrights.

Sydney theatre addresses and brief notes on how to get to each venue should be helpful to Sydney visitors and theatregoers in general.

It is advisable when going to Sydney's theatre venues for the first time to know exactly where they are. It's best to refer to a Sydney street directory before setting out. Of course, you can always take a taxi and let the driver worry about getting you there.
