Divers and snorkelers visiting Australia tend to think of Queensland's Great Barrier Reef as the place to be. In fact, you can find good diving and snorkeling spots all along the Australian coastline and off the many Australian islands. Many diving sites can be found in Western Australia, and Rottnest Island just across the water from Perth has been drawing divers and snorkelers to the diversity of fish and coral species in and around the numerous reefs surrounding the island.
The pictures here, courtesy of Tourism Western Australia, are a sampling of Rottnest Island's underwater attractions.
