Water-themed rides, roller coasters, a race track and various other attractions combine to make Adventure World, at 170 Progress Dr, Bibra Lake, Western Australia, a favorite fun park for the young and the young at heart. It is 20 minutes by road south of Perth city, and 15 minutes from the port of Fremantle.
Season
Adventure World is open from the Queen's Birthday holiday weekend in late September or early October to Anzac Day, April 25. It is open from 10am to 5pm every day during school holidays and Thursday to Monday at all other times. The period from Boxing Day to January 30 has extended opening hours of 9am to 6pm.
Prices
Entry prices are $36 for adults and $29.50 for children aged 5 to 15. (These prices, correct for the 2004-05 season, are subject to change.) Children aged 4 and under enter free. Concession tickets and family passes are available.
Upon entry, all rides and attractions are free.
Getting there
By car: From Perth take the Kwinana Freeway south and turn right on Farrington Rd. Turn left on Progress Dr to Adventure World.
By public transport: From Perth catch the 183 bus from Wellington St bus station to Success Park 'n' Ride, then catch the 510 bus to Adventure World. From Fremantle catch the 510 bus from Fremantle bus station. The Bibra Lake Adventure World bus stop is right outside the park gates.
Height and weight requirements
There are minimum height and maximum weight requirements for a number of rides. Check the park signage and follow instructions from ride operators and lifeguards.
